Thursday, August 22
SICA Open Hours – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host its open hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. August 22, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Music Bingo at Rails – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host Music Bingo at 6 p.m. August 22, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.
Live music at Poplar Street – Brian Hopkins will play at 7 p.m. August 22, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
Friday, August 23
SICA Open Hours – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host its open hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. August 21, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Live Music at Chateau de Pique – Fred Elam will play at 6 p.m. August 23, at the winery, 6163 North County Road 760E, Seymour.
Live music at Poplar Street – Gary Brown will play at 7 p.m. August 23, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
Live music at the American Legion – Taking Back October will play at 8 p.m. August 23, at the Seymour American Legion, 409 West Second Street, Seymour.
Saturday, August 24
Pickleball Tournament – READ Jackson County will host a Pickleball Tournament fundraiser at 8 a.m. August 24, at Gaiser Park in Seymour. There will be five different tournaments throughout the day. It’s $45 to participate and tickets and information can be found by clicking here.
Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon August 24, in the Farmers Market Parking Lot off Walnut Street in Seymour.
Dog Days Dog Show – The annual Dog Days Dog Show will take place at 9 a.m. August 24, in the Keech Parking Lot (behind the Seymour Post Office) in downtown Seymour. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and there will be multiple categories to enter dogs. The event benefits the Humane Society of Jackson County.
Seymour Card Show – The Seymour Cards Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 24, at Dovie’s Recreation Hall, 205 South Maple Street, Seymour. The show will feature collectable sports and non-sports cards. Information: 812-498-0997.
Pollinators Program – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host a pollinators program, an educational presentation about pollinators, at 10 a.m. in the Forest Education Center.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 24. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.
Pig in the Park – The Seymour Noon Lions Club will host its annual Pig in the Park from noon to 4 p.m. August 24, at Gaiser Park in Seymour. The meal will be free to the community. The event also will include community resources, live music by Fly By Night, bouncy houses, and other activities.
School Dayz Fundraiser – The Seymour Museum Center will host the School Dayz fundraiser at 6 p.m. August 24, at the Seymour Museum Center, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.
Carey Ruwe Memorial Race – The Carey Ruwe Memorial Race will start around 6 p.m. August 24, at the Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The race will feature Valvoline IronMan Super Late Models plus Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets, and Crown Vics. Click here for tickets and more information.
Keys for Kids – The Boys & Girls Club of Seymour, Jennings County, Brownstown, will host Keys for Kids at 6:30 p.m. August 24, at the club, 950 North O’Brien Street, Seymour. The event is for those 21 and older and will feature Howl at the Moon dueling piano artists and a cash bar. Cocktail hour begins at 6:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Click here for tickets.

All About Indiana – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host an All About Indiana craft all day August 25, in the Forest Education Center. The program will provide coloring pages and craft that give information about Indiana.

Craft Time – Moxie Coffee Company will host a free craft from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. August 27, at the coffee shop, 218 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. The theme for the month is Animals.
Sips of Summer – Seymour Tri Kappa will host Sips of Summer at 6 p.m. August 27, at Vat & Barrel, 212 East Second Street, Seymour. Tickets are $27 or $25 for two or more. The event includes a flight of either cocktails or Bourbon as well as appetizers. Click here for tickets.
