SICA Open Hours – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host its open hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. August 15, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Gymnastics Lane Fundraiser – Gymnastics Lane will host a BBQ Dinner fundraiser with Junkyard BBQ from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. August 15, at the facility, 1849 1st Avenue, Seymour.
Seymour City Jam – MellenCougar – a John Mellencamp Tribute Band will play the Seymour Main Street Seymour City Jam at 6:30 p.m. August 15, at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour. Sponsors will be set up at 6 p.m. and adult beverages and food will begin at 6 p.m. Free to attend.
Trivia Night at Rails – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host Trivia Night at 6 p.m. August 15, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour. The theme is August.
Comedy Night at Poplar Street – Comedian Ryan Hole will perform at 7 p.m. August 15, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

Rummage Sale – The Jackson County History Center will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 16, at the center, 105 North Sugar Street, Brownstown.

Car Show – The FOP Pre Scoop “Tom Gray Memorial” Car Show will take place at 5 p.m. August 16, in downtown Seymour. The event benefits the annual Cops and Kids program.
Live music at Cortland Diner – For the King will play at 5 p.m. August 16, at Cortland Indiana Diner, 6528 North County Road 400E, Seymour. The diner will be hosting its limited steak night.
Live music at Chateau de Pique – Bach’s Lunch will play 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. August 16, at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour.

3R’s – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host the 3R’s Day all day, August 17, in the Forest Education Center. Participants can use old magazines to cutout and be creative in making their own creations. The event also will have information about reducing, reusing, and recycling.
Firefighters Golf Scramble – The sixth annual Seymour Fire Fighters Golf Scramble will take place at 8 a.m. August 17, at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 North Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour. Downtown Shop Around – The Seymour Main Street Downtown Shop Around will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 17, at participating businesses in downtown Seymour. Visit multiple locations to get your card punched to be entered to win gift cards.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 17. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.
Big Tree Hike – The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will host the Big Tree Hike at 10 a.m. August 17, at the refuge, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. The hike will begin at the refuge visitor center.
Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 17, at the center, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.
Follow the Son Car Show – The Follow the Son Car Show will begin at noon, August 17, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 North Walnut Street, Seymour. There will be food for sale during the event.
Scoop the Loop – Scoop the Loop will be at 6 p.m. August 17, in downtown Seymour. Get your official Scoop the Loop shirts at the Jackson County Visitor Center, benefiting the Seymour Evening Lions Club.
Fan Appreciation Night – Fan Appreciation Night will start around 6 p.m. August 17, at the Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The race will feature ILMS Pro Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets, and Crown Vics. Click here for tickets and more information.
Bustock – Back to Mac – a Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band will play at 7 p.m. August 17, at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour as part of WJAA 96.3’s Free Summer of Fun.

Fun, Food, Faith Festival – Lutheran Central School will host the Fun, Food, Faith Festival at 11 a.m. August 18, at the school, 415 North Elm Street, Brownstown. The event will feature food trucks, live music, euchre tournament, amateur cook off, bake walk, and more. Prizes will be given for the cook off and euchre tournament winners. Proceeds go to the school.
Make Your Own Lady Bug – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host a Make Your Own Lady Bug craft at 11 a.m. August 11, in the Forest Education Center. Participants will make the craft from toilet paper rolls and learn about lady bugs.
150th Year Cookout – Immanuel Lutheran School will host a cookout at noon, August 18, at the school, 520 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. The cookout will celebrate the school’s 150th year and will feature food, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and more.
Batty For Bats – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host Batty for Bats, an education program on bats, at 1 p.m. in the Forest Education Center.
Illusions Explosion – Central Christian Church will host Illusions Explosion with Zak Mirz at 6 p.m. August 18, at Seymour High School’s Earl D. Prout Auditorium. It’s free admission.
