Your Guide to the Weekend – 8/13-8/15
Every school is back in session in Jackson County, but the fun of summer is still here with everything that’s going on this weekend.
We’ve got everything from yoga at a winery to a side-by-side ride throughout Jackson County; not to mention all the other fun.

Friday, August 13
Live Music at Rails – Jackson Snelling will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.
Live Music at On the Rox – Thunderbolt and Lightfoot will perform at 8 p.m. at On the Rox.
Saturday, August 14
Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot.
Downtown Shop Around – Seymour Main Street will host the Downtown Shop Around from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating stores in downtown Seymour. Take a pass to each one and get it stamped for a chance to win some awesome prizes!
Car show – The Jerry Luedeman Memorial Car Show is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. at Shields Park. It’s $20 per vehicle and includes lunch. Registration is from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Fun at Luke’s – Take the side-by-side or Jeep out to Luke’s Country Inn for the Side-By-Side Ride. It’s $20 per person and leaves Luke’s at 1 p.m. for a scenic ride that will return to the Dudleytown restaurant. Six Ways to Sunday will perform at 7 p.m. and there will be 50/50 raffle to benefit Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County.
Euchre Tourney – The Pershing Township Lions Club is hosting a soup supper and euchre tournament at the Freetown Senior Center. Chili, bean soup, taco salad, hot dogs and more will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m. The tournament starts at 6 p.m.
Medora Goes Pink Fundraiser – The Medora Goes Pink Dinner and Dessert Auction is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Medora Christian Church. This is the eighth year for the fundraiser.
Kayak tour – There will be a guided sunset kayak tour at Starve Hollow State Recreation Area from 6 to 8 p.m.
Live Music at Poplar Street – Bomar & Ritter will play at 8 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant.
Live Music at Rails – Doug Dillman will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery.
Live Music at Jackson Live – Brad Magness, Lanny McIntosh, Kelly Trask and more are scheduled for 7 p.m. at Jackson Live. Tickets are available by calling 812-521-1282.
Live Music at Brewskies Downtown – Justyn Underwood will perform at 7 p.m. at Brewskies Downtown.
Live Music at The Thirsty Sportsman – Hoosier Daddy will perform at 9 p.m. at The Thirsty Sportsman.
Sunday, August 15
Wine and Yoga – Join the Wild Moon Yoga Wine and Yoga Tour at 11 a.m. at Salt Creek Winery in Freetown. It’s a relaxing exercise and wine event for only $15.
