Thursday, August 11
SICA Art Club – Join the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Art Club from 2 to 7 p.m. at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring what you’ve been working on and enjoy the company of other artists.
Movie Premiere – There will be a premiere of In Justice IN at 6:30 p.m. at Harmony Park at the Brooklyn Pizza Company 753 West Second Street, Seymour. Get tickets
Friday, August 12
Golf – Join the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department for the Seymour Swing at 8 a.m. at Shadowood Golf Course. It’s $75 a player or $300 for a team before the event. The prices for day of the event are $85 and $350. Proceeds go to purchase ADA compliant playground equipment.

Food Truck Fundraiser – The ARC of Jackson County is hosting the Food Truck Fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Seymour Area Farmers Market parking lot. Food trucks on site will be Covered Bridge BBQ, Junkyard BBQ, Stag’s Mobile, and Sno Biz. A percentage of sales will go to the ARC of Jackson County.
Live music at Harmony Park – Bomar & Ritter will play at 6 p.m. at Harmony Park at the Brooklyn Pizza Company 753 West Second Street, Seymour.
Live music at Poplar Street Restaurant – Happy Accident will play at 7 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
Live music at Rails – Adam Crabtree will play at 7 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.
Live music at the Eagles – Fred and Steve will play at 7:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.
Live music at On the Rox – Lom Win + Mojo Machine will perform at 8 p.m. on the patio at On the Rox, 214 South Broadway Street, Seymour.
Stardust Movie Series – Join the Jackson County Chamber for the Stardust Movie Series at sundown at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts! This month’s movie is Uncle Buck sponsored by Uptown Realty. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs!
Saturday, August 13
Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot in Seymour.
Downtown Shop Around – Join Seymour Main Street for the Downtown Shop Around from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating businesses in downtown Seymour. Pick up a stamp card at participating locations and three winners will be selected for a $100, $50, and $25 gift card of your choice! This month also features a family fun scavenger hunt!
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. Be sure to check out this wonderful place that is open each Saturday!
Live music at Chateau de Pique – Vinyl Escape will play from 6 to 9 p.m. at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery. There will be a food truck on site and wine, beer, and cider from Chateau de Pique.
Axe & Canvas – The Driftwood Christian Church will host Axe & Canvas from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church, 5564 State Road 135, Vallonia. The event will feature an axe throwing competition, canvas painting, food, door prizes and more. Registration can be made by clicking here.
Bustock – The WJAA Radio 96.3 Free Summer of Fun will end with the annual Bustock at 6 p.m. at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour! 100% Angus, an AC/DC Tribute Band will perform and Killn Smallz will open. There will be food available by Small Town Satisfied and drinks by Seymour Brewing Company.

Sunday, August 14
Crossroad Duathlon – The Crossroads Duathlon is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at Freeman Field Recreation Area. The race features a one-mile run followed by a 12-mile bike ride followed by a 5K run. It’s $35 to register, which can be completed by clicking here.

Wednesday Evening Rides – Join the Jackson County Bicycle Club for its Wednesday Evening Ride. The group will leave at 6 p.m. from Central Christian Church, 1434 West Second Street from the parking lot facing Westgate Road. This week’s ride is 9.5 miles. The group increases each week by a half mile until they reach 10-mile rides each week through October. Visit the Facebook group for updates and more information.
Open Mic Night – Mike Staublin will host Open Mic Night at 6 p.m. at Harmony Park at the Brooklyn Pizza Company 753 West Second Street, Seymour.
