This weekend is jam-packed full of fun and ends with the start of one of Jackson County’s most cherished traditions – the Jackson County Fair!

Thursday, July 18

SICA Open Hours – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host its open hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 18, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.

City Jam – Seymour Main Street will host its monthly Seymour City Jam at 6 p.m. July 18, at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour. The Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle will perform at 6:30 p.m.

Trivia Night at Rails – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host Trivia Night at 6 p.m. July 18, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour. The theme is 80 & 90s films.


Friday, July 19

SICA Open Hours – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host its open hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 19, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour.

Cruise In & Concert – The Driftwood Township Volunteer Fire Department will host a cruise in and concert at 4 p.m. July 19, in Vallonia. There will be fish sandwiches and tenderloins for sale. Admission is free.

Live music at The Bearded Hobo – Short Notice will play at 6 p.m. July 19, at The Bearded Hobo, 1029 West Commerce Street, Brownstown.

Live Music at Chateau de Pique – Bryce Hatton will play from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 19, at the winery, 6163 North County Road 760E, Seymour.

‘The Best We’ve Got’ – The Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County and ARC of Jackson County will host a showing of ‘The Best We’ve Got’ at 6 p.m. July 19, at Seymour Christian Church, 915 Kasting Road, Seymour.

Live music at Harmony Park – The Dwight Hendrix Experience will play at 6:30 p.m. July 19, at Harmony Park outside the Brooklyn Pizza Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.

Live music at Poplar Street – Brad Treadway will play at 7 p.m. July 19, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.

‘Black Comedy’ – Seymour ACTS will present ‘Black Comedy’ at 7:30 p.m. July 19, at the theatre, 357 Tanger Blvd, Seymour. Click here for tickets.


Saturday, July 20

Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon July 20, in the Farmers Market Parking Lot off Walnut Street in Seymour.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20, at the center, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.

Live music at Poplar Street – Donnie Wheeler will play at 7 p.m. July 20, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
