Open Mic Night – Michael Staublin will host Open Mic Night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 3, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour. It’s free to join and open to anyone.
Music Bingo – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host Music Bingo at 6 p.m. April 3, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour.
Friday, April 4
Jackson County Walking Pals – The Jackson County Walking Pals will meet at 6 p.m. April 4, at the Jackson-Washington State Forest in Brownstown. The group walks at a steady pace for an hour with their dogs. The group will meet at the Shelterhouse.
Bingo Night – Zion Lutheran Church Senior Youth will host Bingo Night at 6:30 p.m. April 4, at the church, 1501 Gaiser Drive, Seymour. Tickets are $30 at the door. To reserve a spot, email zlcyouthboard@gmail.com. Proceeds will benefit the Senior Youth Group’s trip to the National Youth Gathering.
Live music at the Brooklyn Pizza Co. – Bomar and Ritter will perform at 6:30 p.m. April 4, at The Brooklyn Pizza Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.
Live music at the Bearded Hobo – Mike Staublin will play at 7 p.m. April 4, at The Bearded Hobo, 1029 West Commerce Street, Brownstown.
Wrestling – Supreme Wrestling will present the Seymour Stampede wrestling match at 7:30 p.m. April 4, at Jackson Live & Event Center, 981 C Avenue East, Seymour. It’s $10 per ticket and the doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the match beginning at 7:30 p.m. Click here for tickets.
Saturday, April 5
Pancake Breakfast – Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 526 will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 5, at the Seymour VFW, 311 South Jackson Park Drive, Seymour. The breakfast will include 2 pancakes, sausage, and a drink. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance at the Jackson County Visitor Center, 100 North Broadway Street, Seymour. The center is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The scouts’ pinewood derby will follow the breakfast.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.
Presentation – The Jackson County Public Library will host a presentation of the 80th anniversary of the Freeman Field Mutiny at 2 p.m. April 5, at the location in Seymour, 303 West Second Street, Seymour. Larry Bothe, curator of the Freeman Army Airfield Museum, will lead the presentation. The event is limited to 50, and registration is required by 4/3. Register by calling 812-522-3412.
Meet & Greet – YouTube’s Stuff & Whiskey will be available for a public meet and greet at 3 p.m. April 5, at Vick’s Liquor Store, 400 East Tipton Street, Seymour.
Crossroads of Culture – Crossroads of Cultures is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 5, at Seymour Middle School, 920 North O’Brien Street, Seymour. The event will include food, music, and learning about cultures in the community.
Ira Bastin Memorial – The 3rd annual Ira Bastin Memorial will begin at 6 p.m. April 5, at Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The race will include Northern All-Stars Super Late Models plus Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Crown Vics, and Hornets. Click here for information.
Bourbon Pour – The 3rd annual Seymour Main Street Bourbon Pour is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. April 5, at the Knights of Columbus, 118 East Second Street, Seymour. The evening will include dinner, a blind tasting of multiple Bourbons, silent auction, a brief presentation by Bill Bryden, and YouTube’s Stuff & Whiskey. Click here for tickets and more information.

Live music at the Bearded Hobo – Joe D’Amato, Piano Joe, will perform at 7 p.m. April 5, at The Bearded Hobo, 1029 West Commerce Street, Brownstown. He will play classic music from Elton John and Billy Joel.

Small Town Bingo – The Phi Beta Psi Small Town Bingo will be held at 7 p.m. April 8, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 122 East Second Street. It’s $25 for a ticket, and all proceeds go to cancer research. Doors open at 6 p.m. Message Phi Beta Psi on Facebook for tickets.

Nature Time – The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society will host Nature Time at 9:30 a.m. April 9, at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. There is a different topic each month, and the program is geared toward preschool-aged children. No registration required.
