Thursday, April 24

Open Mic Night – Michael Staublin will host Open Mic Night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour. It’s free to join and open to anyone.

Arbor Day Celebration – The Seymour Parks & Recreation Department will host an Arbor Day Celebration at 6 p.m. April 24, at Harmony Park outside the Brooklyn Pizza Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour. The event will include Tree Bingo with prizes, free tree saplings, door prizes, coloring contest, crafts, educational resources, food specials, and more.


Friday, April 25

Crossroads Acoustic Fest – Crossroads Acoustic Fest will begin at 6 p.m. April 25, at The Copper Top, 100 St. Louis Avenue. Click here for tickets and information.

Jackson County Walking Pals – The Jackson County Walking Pals will meet at 6 p.m. April 25, at the former bank on Spring Street in Brownstown. The group walks at a steady pace for an hour with their dogs.

Live music at Chateau de Pique – Mari and Tracey Unplugged will perform from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 25, at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour.

‘Steel Magnolias’ – Jackson County Community Theatre will present ‘Steel Magnolias’ during performances at 7:30 p.m. April 25, 26, and May 2, 3, at the Royal-Off-the-Square Theater, 121 West Walnut Street, Brownstown. Click here for tickets.


Saturday, April 26

Wings Over Muscatatuck – The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society will host Wings Over Muscatatuck from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26, at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12985 East U.S. 50, Seymour. The event will include guided bird hikes, bird programming, and children’s activities including bird house making, water color painting, a cake walk, and more. There also will be food available for purchase as well as a silent auction.

Parking Lot Pickers – The Seymour Museum Center will host Parking Lot Pickers from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26, in the Walnut Street Parking Lot and Robertson Feed Mill Parking Lot in downtown Seymour.

Renaissance Faire – The Southern Indiana Renaissance Faire will host its Celtic Weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 26 & 27, at Swifty Farms, 351 U.S. 31, Seymour. Click here for ticket information.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Corn Hole Tournament – St. Paul Lutheran Church – Borchers will host a cornhole tournament beginning at 9 a.m. March 1, at teh church, 10620 Waymansville Pike, Seymour. It’s $30 to participate and the tournament is a fundraiser for the Lutheran League Youth Mission trip to Bayou La Batre, Alabama this summer. Click here for tickets and registration.

Race Night – Saturday Night Racing will begin at 6 p.m. April 19, at Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The race will include Super Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Crown Vics, and Hornets. Click here for information.
