Thursday, April 20

Food Truck & Music Night – Grub A Dub Dub and Sno Biz food trucks will be at the John Mellencamp mural from 4 to 8 p.m., April 20, for the Food Trucks & Live Music night. Music will be provided by This Old Guitar Music Store. This event is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mellencamp mural each Thursday in April.

Live music at Seymour Brewing Co. – Sy Zickler and Albert Nolting will play at 6 p.m. at the Seymour Brewing Company, 753 West Second Street, Seymour.


Friday, April 21

Live music at Chateau de Pique – Buck Knawe will play from 6 to  9 p.m. at Chateau de Pique Winery + Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour.

Medora Timberjacks – The Medora Timberjacks will host the Lebanon Leprechauns with a game at 7 p.m., April 21, at Medora High School.

‘Dial ‘M’ for Murder’ – The Jackson County Community Theatre will present “Dial ‘M’ for Murder” with shows at 7:30 p.m. April 21, 22, 28, 29 at the Royal-Off-the-Square Theatre in Brownstown. There will be a matinee at 2:30 p.m. April 23. Click here to order tickets or call 812-358-5228.

Live Music at the Seymour American Legion – Sugar Creek will perform at 8 p.m., April 21, at the Seymour American Legion Post 89, 402 West Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, April 22

SchneckWELL Community Health Fair – Schneck Medical Center will host the SchneckWELL Community Health Fair from 7 to 11 a.m. in the Schneck Professional Building, 411West Tipton Street, Seymour. There will be free free breast, cervical, skin cancer and prostate screenings, reduced-cost blood work, adult and pediatric vaccines, free colorectal cancer screening kits and more health care resources. Parking Lot Pickers – The Seymour Museum Center will host the annual Parking Lot Pickers from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 22, in the Walnut Street Parking Lot and Robertson Feedmill Parking Lot, in downtown Seymour.

National Record Store Day – Steve Deweese will play from 9 to 11 a.m., April 22, at 13th Floor Music Store for National Record Store Day.

Trash Bash – RE/MAX Professionals will host the Trash Bash from 9 a.m. to noon, April 22, at their office, 1403 East Tipton Street, Seymour. The event will be an opportunity to get rid of materials as the Speedy Shred truck by the Jackson County Recycling District will be there as well as a dumpster by Royalty Roofing.

Downtown Shop Around – Seymour Main Street’s Downtown Shop Around is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 22 at participating businesses in downtown Seymour. There will be an Earth Day theme for this Downtown Shop Around. Visit participating locations for a punch card where you will be entered to win $100, $50, or $25.

Schneider Nursery Open House – Schneider Nursery will host its annual Open House form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 22, at the nursery, 3066 East U.S. 50, Seymour. In addition to seeing what the nursery has to offer, there’s a schedule of informational events and classes. The schedule is 10 a.m.: Porch Planters; 11a.m.: Landscaping 101; 1 p.m.: House Plants; 2 p.m.: Chemicals and Fertilizers. Click here for event descriptions.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 22, 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. If you cannot make it during those hours, you may schedule a tour by calling 812-271-1821.

Stretch & Sip – Chateau de Pique Winery and Brewery will host a Stretch and Sip Yoga event at 1 p.m. at the winery, 6361 North County Road, 760E, Seymour. Michelle Stephens will instruct yoga and then participants will get five pours of wine. Tickets are $20 until 1 p.m. 4/21, then the price will increase to $25. Purchase tickets at the winery or through Venmo.

Traditional Arts Indiana – Jim Smoak, a 5-string banjo musician, will make a presentation at 1 p.m., April 22, at the Jackson County Public Library in Seymour. Smoak began playing professionally in the 1950s and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry in addition to touring with bluegrass groups. For more information, call the library at 812-523-4636.

Spring Fling Mixology Class – The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department will host its Spring Fling Mixology Class from 5 to 8 p.m., April 22, at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, in downtown Seymour. Those who attend will learn how to mix classic and fun cocktails. Tickets are $35 and are limited to 50 registrants. Race Night at Brownstown Speedway –  This week’s race at Brownstown Speedway, April 22, will feature Super Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Hornets, Crown Vics. Click here for the website for all details and tickets.

Stand Up at the Apothecary – The Pacey Apothecary will host a Stand Up Comedy Night at 6:30 p.m., April 22, at the store, 125 West Second Street, Seymour. The night will feature Jeremy Seward, Blake Hammond, and JessJokin. There will be a cash bar. Get advance tickets by clicking here. 

Live Music at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery – Dave Campbell will play at 7 p.m., April 22, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue.

Trivia Night – Patty Brothers Entertainment will host trivia night at 6:30 p.m., April 25, at Pizza Palace, 832 West Tipton Street, Seymour.

German Language Class –  Learn German at Schwatzer’s German Restaurant in downtown Seymour. It’s $5 per session and goes through April.


Wednesday, April 26

Live Music at the Seymour Brewing Co. – Ruben Guthrie will play at 6 p.m., April 26, at the Seymour Brewing Company, 725 West Second Street, Seymour.
