It’s the final Guide to the Weekend! Enjoy the traditions Jackson County has! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at the Jackson County Visitor Center! We will resume the guide in the Spring of 2025!

Friday, December 20

Festival of Trees – The Jackson County History Center’s Festival of Trees will be on display from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. December 20, at the center, 105 North Sugar Street, Brownstown.

Live music at The Eagles – Brian Fink will play at 7:30 p.m. December 13, at The Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 112 East Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, December 21

Jingle All the 5K – Seymour Main Street will host its annual Jingle All the 5K race at 9 a.m. December 21, at the Seymour Museum Center, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Click here to sign up.

Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Winter Farmers Market will be from 10 a.m. to noon, December 21, at the Jackson County Visitor Center, 100 North Broadway Street, Seymour.

Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. December 21. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. December 21, at the museum, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Festival of Trees – The Jackson County History Center’s Festival of Trees will be on display from noon to 8 p.m. December 21, at the center, 105 North Sugar Street, Brownstown.

Parade of Lights – The city of Seymour’s annual Parade of Lights & Fireworks will being at 5 p.m. December 21, in downtown Seymour. The parade will wind downtown and the fireworks will follow.

Live music at Jackson Live – Josh McMillen will perform at 7 p.m. December 21, at Jackson Live & Event Center, 981 C Avenue East, Seymour. https://www.jacksonliveandevents.com/
