Thursday, December 2
Dine United – The Fish Stand will offer its Dine United campaign where a portion of sales will go to Jackson County United Way.
Santa – Santa Claus and his sleigh will be at WJAA Radio 96.3 from 4 to 5 p.m. He will have coloring books and candy for kids.
Friday, December 3
Dine United – Mi Casa will offer its Dine United campaign where a portion of sales will go to Jackson County United Way.
Building a Polar Bear – The Jackson County Public Library is hosting a Build a Polar Bear workshop at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. at the location in Crothersville. It’s limited to ages 2-12. Register online.
Christmas at Crossroads – Join the Jackson County Chamber at 6 p.m. for the Christmas at Crossroads! This event will feature live reindeer, Christmas caroling by The Point, hot cocoa, Southern Indiana Hispanic Services doughnut holes, a visit from Santa Claus and the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree!
Wonderland of Lights – Tiemeyer’s Farm Market will offer its Wonderland of Lights hayride at 6 p.m. Go through the Christmas light display and be dropped off for a visit with Santa in his workshop! Live Music at the Seymour Brewing Co. – Bomar & Ritter will play at 7 p.m. at the Seymour Brewing Company.
‘A Christmas Carol’ – Jackson County Community Theatre will present ‘A Christmas Carol’ with a show at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal-Off-the-Square Theatre in Brownstown. Click here to order tickets.
Medora Christmas Festival – The Medora Christmas Festival & Parade will host the Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, Christmas carols and more fun.
Saturday, December 4
Medora Christmas Festival – The Medora Christmas Festival & Parade will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be vendors, food, parade, entertainment and more. Click here for a guide.
Cookie Walk – The Immanuel Guild will host its Christmas Cookie Walk beginning at 9 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 605 South Walnut Street, Seymour. It’s $10 per box and you can pick from trays of homemade cookies. Enter the Fellowship Hall from the Walnut Street entrance.
Small Town Christmas Market – A variety of vendors and crafts will be found at the Small Town Christmas Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, Seymour. Santa and The Grinch will make a stop between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Bring a new unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more and be entered into a drawing for items donated by the show’s vendors. Proceeds will help Toys for Tots.
Visitor Center Gift Shop – The Jackson County Visitor Center Gift Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Come see all the great local products and stock up on gift cards from local businesses.
Holiday Open House – The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society will host a Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wildlife Bookstore at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge. The event will take place in the courtyard outside the refuge visitor center. Items will be nature books, field guides, children’s books and activities, jewelry, puppets and Duck Stamps. This event will be canceled in the event of rain.
December to Remember – Local artist Stacey Perry will lead a paint/craft event at the Magic of Books Bookstore. The first class is at 10 a.m. for ages five to nine, while the 3 p.m. class is for ages 10 and up. Spots are limited to 10 per class. Order tickets here.
Schneider Nursery – Join Schneider Nursery for a fun day by making crafts, decorating a “Charlie Brown” Christmas Tree, and enjoying the story and snacks. Ticket price also includes a digital download code for a professional photo taken by Marshall Memories. Standard tickets will receive 1 code, Sleigh Ride tickets will receive 2 codes. Holiday with The Horses – Reins to Recovery Inc. Therapeutic Riding Center will have a chance to visit with Santa from 1 to 4 p.m. and have their picture taken with him and also visit with the facility’s Reindeer and make a craft to take home. This is a freewill donation event open to the public. All money raised will go toward the care of the center’s therapy horses.

Meal – St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is hosting its Fall Festival meal from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church in Brownstown. It’s a free will donation and dine in or carry out.
The meal options are as follows:
One main (Tenderloin, Western, hot dog)
Two Sides (Mac and cheese, baked beans, loaded potato salad, strawberry pretzel salad)
One dessert (Coconut cream pie, cherry delight, chocolate chip cookies)
Santa – Santa will be at the Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department at 6:30 p.m. He will first drive through the neighborhoods in Reddington beginning at 5 p.m.
Next Week
Seymour Santa Tour – Santa will ride on a Seymour fire truck each night next week at 6 p.m. Track him with the Santa Tracker. He will come through your neighborhood on your corresponding trash pick up day. Organized by the Jackson County Chamber.
