Thursday, December 1
Holiday Gnome Workshop – Schneider Nursery will host a Holiday Gnome Workshop where staff will lead you in creating a unique Christmas decoration! Greenery, hats, and noses provided. Other accessories available for purchase. Evening classes include snacks and adult beverages. Tickets are limited and available by clicking here.
Silk Wreath Class – Anytime Florals will host a Silk Wreath Class at 6:30 p.m. at the store, 310 East Commerce Street, Brownstown. The cost is $65 per person and snacks and drinks will be provided. Call 812-358-5680 to sign up.
Friday, December 2
Festival of Trees – The Jackson County History Center’s Festival of Trees will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the center, 105 North Sugar Street, Brownstown. This year’s theme is Snowmen. It’s free to attend and view the entries, but donations will be accepted.
Wonderland of Lights – The Tiemeyer’s Farm Market Wonderland of Lights will run at 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturday from November 18 through December 17 at the market, 3147 South County Road 300W, Vallonia. Rides begin at 6 p.m. and run each hour. Tickets are $10 per person, or $8 for private groups. (Private groups may schedule on off night with a minimum of 30). Couples’ Night at Schneider Nursery – Grab your significant other and come create a Kissing Ball at 6:30 p.m. with Schneider Nursery. Drinks and snacks will be provided, as well as a Kissing Ball kit that includes the base, oasis, fresh greenery, berries and pinecones. Additional décor will be available for purchase. Tickets are $55 and can be purchased by clicking here.

Live music at the Eagles – Doug Dillman will play at 7:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 112 East Second Street, in downtown Seymour.
Saturday, December 3
Breakfast with Santa – The Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department will host Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. at the station, 2112 High Street, Seymour. It’s $8 and includes your choice of Pancakes or Biscuits and Gravy, your choice of bacon or sausage and your choice of milk, juice or coffee. Feel free to visit with Santa, take pictures and enjoy a delicious breakfast as well. All proceeds will benefit the families of Redding township in need during the holiday season. Santa will return to ride on the fire truck with the members of Redding Twp later that evening (Dec 3). Please enjoy as Santa visits our local neighborhoods of Redding township by waving at him as he comes through starting around 7 p.m. Please keep checking back for updates and parade route this year.
Holiday Open House – The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society will host a Holiday Open House from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge visitor center. There will be new merchandise including books, puzzles, puppets, Christmas decorations, and more. There also will be cookies and hot cider.
Medora Christmas Festival & Parade – The Medora Christmas Festival & Parade will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Medora. The parade is at 1 p.m. and the annual Christmas ball is from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Carr Township Conservation Club.
Small Town Christmas Market – The Small Town Christmas Market will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 118 East Second Street, Seymour. There will be vendors, food trucks, and more. Santa and The Grinch will be there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a Christmas story reading at 1:30 p.m. Proceeds go to Cops and Kids Christmas shopping program.
Cookie Walk – Immanuel Lutheran Church will host its annual Cookie Walk at 9 a.m. December 3, in the church’s fellowship hall, 605 South Walnut Street, Seymour. the event is sponsored by the Immanuel Guild and features a variety of homemade cookies. The cost is $15 and you can pick through trays or cookies. Information: 812-522-5498.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. If you cannot make it during those hours, you may schedule a tour by calling 812-271-1821.
Small Town Christmas – Schneider Nursery will host its Small Town Christmas from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the nursery, 3066 U.S. 50, Seymour. Ticket purchases are good for a family of up to 5 people to hear a local Christmas book read aloud at our “Jackson County Library,” visit “Roksey Roller Rink” in our greenhouse (bring your own skates and helmet), watch a holiday classic at “StarDust Theatre,” make a digital memory with the Jackson County Visitor Center, have memorable holiday pictures taken with local favorite, Jamie Marshall of Marshall Memories, and create a Christmas memory using fresh greenery from Schneider Nursery. Christmas at Crossroads – Join the Jackson County Chamber and Seymour Parks and Recreation for Christmas at Crossroads at 6 p.m., at Crossroads Community Park in downtown Seymour. There will be live music, food, hot chocolate, train rides, live reindeer, a visit from Santa, and fireworks!

Sunday, December 4
Pancake Breakfast – Jackson County United Way will host a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brewskies Downtown, 117 East Second Street, Seymour. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the United Way office or at Brewskies Downtown. Tickets will not be available at the door and must be purchased by Saturday, December 3. Proceeds benefit the annual campaign for Jackson County United Way, which supports more than 20 local nonprofits.
