Thursday, November 17
Breathin’ for a Reason – The Breathin’ for a Reason day of action will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Harmony Park, 753 West Second Street, Seymour. There will be speakers, resources and more for those who wish to quit smoking.
Friday, November 18
Brownstown Greenhouse & Gifts Open House – Brownstown Greenhouse & Gifts Christmas Open House will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the store, 415 North Main Street, Brownstown.
SHS Band BBQ Fundraiser – The Seymour High School Band will host a BBQ fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Seymour Area Farmers Market Parking Lot. Junkyard BBQ Food Truck will be donating a portion of sales during the event. The band is raising money for its trip to Disney World in May 2023.
Christmas Auction – The Medora Brick Plant & Historical sites committee will host a Christmas Auction at 6 p.m. at the Carr Township Conservation Club, 7709 West County Road 350S, Medora. There will be Christmas items, toys, decorations, candles, jewelry and much more. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will go to support the restoration of the former Medora Brick Plant kilns. For more information, call Linda at 812-560-8082.
‘Stranger Things’ Trivia – The Magic of Books Bookstore will host a Stranger Things Trivia Night at 6 p.m. at the store, 115 West Second Street, in downtown Seymour. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by clicking here. Everyone will leave with a prize. For ages 9+.
Wonderland of Lights – The Tiemeyer’s Farm Market Wonderland of Lights will run at 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturday from November 18 through December 17 at the market, 3147 South County Road 300W, Vallonia. Rides begin at 6 p.m. and run each hour. Tickets are $10 per person, or $8 for private groups. (Private groups may schedule on off night with a minimum of 30). Live music at the Eagles – Hewitt & Fink will play at 7:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.
Saturday, November 19
Mistletoe Market – The Mistletoe Market will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Craft Show – The ESA Beta Kappa Holiday Arts and Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Girls Inc. of Jackson County, 956 North O’Brien Street, Seymour.
Biscuits & Gravy Breakfast – There will be a biscuits and gravy breakfast fundraiser at 9 a.m. at Hamacher Hall, 201 East Howard Street, Crothersville. The breakfast is a freewill donation.
FFA Craft Show – The Crothersville FFA Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the high school in Crothersville. Both gyms will be full of wonderful items.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. If you cannot make it during those hours, you may schedule a tour by calling 812-271-1821.
Stitches N Flakes Open House – Stitches N Flakes will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shop, 213 East Reddington Street, Seymour. The shop is located across from the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts.
Bluegrass Jamboree – The Norman Station Conservation Club Bluegrass Jamboree will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at the club, 12157 West County Road 450N, Norman. There will be food and drinks available for purchase. The concert is free to attend. Information: 812-525-7194.
