Friday, October 8
Grab and Go Chili Supper – There will be a Grab and Go Chili Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lutheran Central School in Brownstown. The menu will include choice of chili with crackers and cheese or sloppy Joe with macaroni and cheese served with a drink and a dessert. Tickets may be purchased for $5 from any Lutheran Central student, at the school office or at the door.

Ghouls and Goblets – Seymour Main Street will host Ghouls and Goblets from 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Seymour. Have a fun evening of spooky stories and delicious samples of adult beverages at downtown businesses. Check in is available from 5:30 to 7 p.m .at 121 North Chestnut Street (bottom floor of Smith Law Services.) Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Click here to purchase tickets.
Live Music at Brewskies Downtown – Kolton Norton will play from 6 to 9 p.m. at Brewskies Downtown.
BCHS Football – The Brownstown Central High School football team will host Silver Creek at 7 p.m.
SHS Football – The Seymour High School football team will host New Albany at 7 p.m.
Live Music at Harmony Park – Daniel Wasson will perform at 7:30 p.m. at Harmony Park outside The Seymour Brewing Company.
Fear Fair – Indiana’s Scariest Haunted House will offer haunts from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Order tickets by clicking here.
Movie Night at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market – Tiemeyer’s Farm Market will show “Van Helsing The London Assignment” and then “The Haunted Mansion” for movie night. Movies are free and start at dusk. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.
Haunted Trail and Corn Maze – Tiemeyer’s Timber Terrors will offer up its haunted trail and corn maze at Tiemeyer’s Farm Market. All the haunted will being at dusk. Admission is $15 for the trail and $10 for the maze.
Saturday, October 9
Scarecrow Stroll – Seymour Main Street’s Scarecrow Stroll is a self-guided tour. Downtown businesses will decorate a scarecrow and you can view them through the end of the month! Winners will be announced in November!
HOPE – Medora Goes Pink – HOPE – Medora Goes Pink is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Browse through the vendors, get some tasty food, run a 5K, get screenings and more with the HOPE – Medora Goes Pink festival!
Walk for the Wild – There will be a self-guided free 5K at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 9. Trail maps may be picked up by the refuge visitor center. This marks a celebration of National Wildlife Refuge Week!
Jeep Ride – The Seymour Police Department is hosting the D.A.R.E. Jeep Adventure Rally. The ride will be about 100 miles and leave at 10 a.m. from Freeman Field Recreational Area. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $30 per Jeep and forms are available in the department’s lobby at 205 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Fall Craft Show – The Stuckwish Farm Market is hosting its outdoor Fall Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the market, 4683 State Road 135, Vallonia. The event will include crafts, Fall decor, plants, pumpkins, food, live music and more!
Houston Fall Festival – Get ready to experience the fun this small community can offer – not to mention the beautiful views on the way there – with the Houston Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 9830 North County Road 750W, Norman. The festival is around the grounds of the historic Houston school. Enjoy the best in food, vendors, entertainment and more.
Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot.
U-Pick Pumpkins – Enjoy a fall day and bring the family out to pick some pumpkins from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch, 1416 Highway 11, Seymour. Also take in some hay rides, a corn maze, Kovenor’s Korner Ice Cream Truck, Covered Bridge BBQ and music!
Wine and Brews – Psi Iota Xi Brownstown is offering up the Jackson County Festival of Wine and Brews from 2 to 6 p.m. at WR Ewing. Enjoy Indiana’s best wineries and breweries, food, and entertainment all at the rustic and historic W.R. Ewing. Tickets available by clicking here.
Euchre Tournament – Pershing Township Lions Club will sponsor a Soup Supper and Euchre Tournament beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center (old fire station) located at 6807 N Union Street in Freetown. The menu includes chili, bean and potato soup, hot dogs and homemade desserts. Serving for the meal will begin at 4:30 and the tournament will begin at 6:00PM. Cost is $5 for the meal and $5 to participate in the tournament.

October Supper – St. Paul Lutheran Church Wegan’s annual October supper will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the church, 1165 E. County Road 400S, Brownstown. It is a freewill donation. The supper will be drive-thru only.
