Thursday, October 19
Pet Parade – The Lutheran Community Home will host a Halloween Pet Parade at 6 p.m. October 19, at the home, 111 Church Avenue, Seymour. Participants are encouraged to dress up their pet and walk in the parade for a night of fun.
Friday, October 20
Fright at the Museum – Fright at the Museum will be at 6 p.m. October 20, at SICA, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. The event will include haunted history in Jackson County, real ghost hunting equipment, and a tour of SICA. The event is free to attend, but there will be a VIP offering for $10 that will include a SICA Ghost Hunt at 9:15 p.m. after the event. Click here for VIP tickets or to sponsor the event.
Live music at Side Track’d – Fred Elam will play from 7 to 10 p.m. October 20, at Side Track’d, 1115 West Spring Street, Brownstown.
Fort Vallonia Days – Fort Vallonia Days festivities will begin at 4 p.m., October 20, in Vallonia. There will be the pumpkin decorating contest from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with live music at u4ia at 7 p.m. Check out the guide by clicking here.
Live music at the Eagles – Dwight Hendrix will play at 7:30 p.m. October 20, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.
Saturday, October 21
Fort Vallonia Days – Fort Vallonia Days will take place with activities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., October 21, in Vallonia. In addition to food, vendors, and entertainment, the day will feature the Mick Gray Memorial Trail Ride, Wes Hartley Memorial Muzzle Loading shoot, parade, tomahawk & knife throw, and more. Hollow’een Spooktacular – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host its annual Hollow’een Spooktacular October 21, with activities planned from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the property. There will be crafts, musical chairs, trick or treating, and a horror haunted house. Click here for a full schedule.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 21, at 1035 A Avenue, Seymour.
Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open for its regular hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 21, at 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.
Excolo Aesthetics Birthday Celebration – Excolo Aesthetics will celebrate its first year with an event at 4 p.m. October 21, at the business, 2337 Nicholas Ct. Suite B, Seymour. There will be a seafood boil, event shirts, kids activities, face painting, bouncy house, and giveaways totaling $50,000. Tickets are required and can be purchased by clicking here.
Community Meal – Trinity United Methodist Church will host its Free Meal for the Community from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, 333 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. This month’s menu is Brats/Sausag
Live music at Side Track’d – Dwight Hendrix will play from 7 to 10 p.m. October 21, at Side Track’d, 1115 West Spring Street, Brownstown.
Comedy Night – The Arby’s Foundation Comedy Night will be at 7 p.m. October 21, at Rails Craft Brew & Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour. Social hour with food will begin at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m. The night will feature Uncool Randy, Dan Alten, and Jeremy Seward. It’s $20 per person or $30 for VIP. Packages available. Proceeds go to the Arby’s Foundation.
Live music at Meek’s – Steve Plasse will play at 7 p.m. October 21, at Meek’s Bar & Grill, 2105 South County Road 750E, Seymour.
Live music at The Thirsty Sportsman – Straight Shooter will play at 9 p.m. October 21, at The Thirsty Sportsman, 205 North Armstrong Street, Crothersville.

Live Wrestling – The Supreme Wrestling Halloween Spooktacular will be at 3 p.m. October 22, at Racin’ Mason Pizza & Fun Zone, 369 Tanger Boulevard, Seymour. It’s $10 to enter, and kids who wear Halloween costumes will receive $1 off admission, and free candy. Doors open at 2 p.m.
Donkey Basketball – Trinity Lutheran High School Boys Basketball will host a Donkey Basketball fundraiser at 4 p.m. October 22, at the school, 1 Trinity Way, Seymour. There will be a tailgate and chili supper at 4 p.m. with donkey basketball at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance, or $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at the school or Jackson County Visitor Center.

Nature Explorer’s Club – The Nature Explorer’s Club will meet at 5 p.m. October 25, at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, Seymour. The group meets each week for 12 weeks with a different theme, story, snack, song, activity, hike, journal, and play. Click here to sign up.
Free Concert – C.O.F.Y. will present a free concert featuring The Lasting Hope at 6:30 p.m. October 25, at the First Baptist Church of Crothersville, 305 East Howard Street, Crothersville.
Driftwood Trunk or Treat – Driftwood Christian Church will host its Trunk or Treat at 7 p.m. October 25, at the church, 5564 State Road 135, Vallonia. There will be a meal at 6 p.m. and hayrides will also be available.
