Thursday, October 17

Community Heroes & Game Night – Turning Point Domestic Violence Services and the City of Seymour Parks and Recreation Department will host Community Heroes & Game Night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. October 17, at the Seymour Community Center, 107 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. There will be card games, board games, yard games, a pasta meal, and more. The event is free and open to all ages. Call 812-522-6420 to register.

Grimm Tales – The Magic of Books Bookstore will host Grimm Tales at 6 p.m. October 17, at the store, 115 West Second Street, Seymour.


Saturday, October 19

Fort Vallonia Days – The annual Fort Vallonia Days will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 19, in Vallonia. The festival will include food, crafts, flea market, entertainment, 5K, parade, contests, and more.

‘Holloween’ Spooktacular – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host its annual ‘Holloween’ Spooktacular with activities from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. October 19, at the property in Vallonia. activities include 10 a.m. Grab & Ghost Crafts, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Trick or Treat (traffic stops at 3:30 p.m.), 6 p.m. campsite decorations winners, 7 p.m. Happy Haunts kid-friendly haunted house tour, and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Haunted House. Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 19. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.

Seymour Museum Center – The Seymour Museum Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 19, at the center, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.

Karaoke – Brewkies Downtown will host Karaoke at 7 p.m. October 19, at the restaurant, 117 East Second Street, Seymour. There will be prizes for the top three. The contest will feature two divisions – Under 18 for kids, and Adults 18+.

‘A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody’ – Actor’s Community Theatre of Seymour will present ‘A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody’ at 7:30 p.m. October 19, at the theater, 357 Tanger Boulevard, Seymour. Click here for tickets.

Live music at The Thirsty Sportsman – The Fabulous Hickbillys will perform at 9 p.m. October 19, at The Thirsty Sportsman, 205 North Armstrong Street, Crothersville.

Bourbon Tasting & Distillery Discussion – Vick’s Liquor Store will host a Bourbon Tasting & Distillery Discussion featuring Yellowstone Bourbon at 6 p.m. October 23, at the store, 400 East Tipton Street, Seymour. The event feature the distillery’s National Ambassador Stephen Fante.
