Thursday, October 10
50th Anniversary Celebration – Meals on Wheels will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 10, at the Knights of Columbus, 118 East Second Street, Seymour. The event is free to attend, but the organization will accept donations. There will be homemade desserts for sale, a silent auction, food by Covered Bridge BBQ and 250 Grill, as well as lie music from The Cherry’s and Christina & Klarc Duo.
Friday, October 11
Ghouls & Goblets – Seymour Main Street will host its annual Ghouls & Goblets tasting event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 11, in downtown Seymour. The event includes samples from breweries, wineries, and distilleries as well as spooky stories. Click here for tickets.
CJ Rayburn Memorial & Bowman Family 50 – The CJ Rayburn Memorial & Bowman Family 50 will start around 6 p.m. October 11, at the Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The race will feature Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with $10,000 to win. Click here for tickets and more information.
Live music at Poplar Street – The Ang Trio will play at 7 p.m. October 11, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour.
Saturday, October 12
Houston Fall Festival – The Houston Fall Festival is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 12, at the historic Houston School. The festival will include food, crafts, tractor ride, entertainment, and more.
HOPE Medora Goes Pink – HOPE Medora Goes Pink is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 12, in Medora. The event includes, food, crafts, health screenings, entertainment, 5K, parade, and more.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 12. Appointments can be scheduled through the week by calling 812-271-1821.
Log Cabin Day – The Muscatatuck Wildlife Society will host Log Cabin Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 12, at Myer’s Cabin within the Mucatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12987 East U.S. 50, Seymour. The day will feature a ham and beans lunch, music, storytelling, pioneer demonstrations, and more.
Blue Star Memorial Dedication – The All Thumbs Garden Club will host a Blue Star Memorial Dedication at 10 a.m. October 12, at Crossroads Park in downtown Seymour. The memorial is to honor those who have served, are serving, or will serve in the military.
Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch U-Pick Weekend – Stuckwisch Pumpkin Patch will host its annual U Pick Weekend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 12, at the patch, 1416 State Road 11, Seymour. It’s $5 for a family pass and includes a corn maze, hay rides, farm animals, and more. The 250 Grill & Kovener’s Korner.
Sip & Shop – Chic Boutique will host a Fall Sip N Shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 12, at the shop, 6283 South County Road 700E, Crothersville. The store will have its new fall arrivals and light refreshments will be served.
Oil Painting Workshop – The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will host an Oil Painting Workshop from noon to 3 p.m. October 12, at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. The cost is $40 for guests, and $30 for members.
Fall Cruise In – The Seymour Area Cruisers will meet for the annual Fall Cruise In from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. October 12, at Rockford Ridge, 2200 North Ewing Street, Seymour.
Jackson 100 – The 45th annual Jackson 100 will start around 6 p.m. October 12, at the Brownstown Speedway, 476 East County Road 100S, Brownstown. The race will feature Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with $50,000 to win, plus Super Stocks and Pure Stocks. Click here for tickets and more information.
Live music at Poplar Street – The Forrest Turner Band will play at 7 p.m. October 12, at Poplar Street Restaurant, 513 South Poplar Street, Seymour. Steve Plasse also will perform. The event will include a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Jackson County and includes a silent auction.
Grand Re-Opening – Keepin’ It Country will perform at 7 p.m. October 12, at at Jackson Live, 981 C Avenue E, Seymour, as part of the venue’s grand re-opening. Click here for tickets.

Wegan Fall Supper – St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Wegan will host its annual Wegan Ladies Aid October Supper from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. October 13, at the church, 1165 East County Road 400S, Brownstown. Trunk or Treat Block Party – Rough & Rusty and Boogie & Bell’s FrankenBurgers will host a Trunk or Treat Block Party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. October 13, at 1103 West Commerce Street, Brownstown.

Car Parade – The Lutheran Community Home will host a classic car parade at 1:30 p.m. at the facility, 111 Church Avenue, Seymour. The residents will be seated outside to watch the parade, all are welcome to bring their classic cars to participate.

Craft Day – The Magic of Books Bookstore will host Craft Day with B. Sharp at 1 p.m. October 16, at the store, 115 East Second Street, Seymour.
