One the most important days of the entire year is coming soon: Mother’s Day!

It’s time to celebrate motherhood! If you’re wondering how you can give your mom some extra recognition, look no further than Jackson County!

We have some exciting things to do to make this year’s holiday special, and it just may make it the most memorable one yet.

Here are five things to do to celebrate Mother’s Day in Jackson County.

1. Stuckwish Farm Market Mother’s Day Craft Show

Stuckwish Farm Market is planning its annual Mother’s Day Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1.

The market is located at 4683 South State Road 135, Vallonia.

This craft show will include more than 30 local crafts, décor, jewelry, candles, food, entertainment, hanging baskets, patio pots, bedding plants and more!

2. A winery visit

Jackson County is home to two excellent wineries, Chateau de Pique and Salt Creek Winery!

Take mom out for her favorite variety of wine. Each winery boasts a beautiful view and delicious wines.

Chateau de Pique is open from noon to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Salt Creek Winery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

3. A Saturday lunch at Batar 

Mom will love lunch at Batar this Mother’s Day! The Seymour restaurant has been named as a top 20 destination dining place in Indiana!

But it’s not just high quality food, Batar also offers up a retail store and sweet shop all nestled near the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge.

Batar is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

4. A trip to Schneider Nursery

The classic Mother’s Day give is flowers or something for the yard.

Luckily, Jackson County is home to Schneider Nursery, so you can get mom exactly what she wants while walking together in a beautiful setting.

If you’re in need of flowers, shrubs, trees, plants, fountains, yard décor or anything else, look no further!

5. A fun shopping trip
