Open to the Public Tuesday, July 15th, at 6:30 P.M. we’re hosting a “Push-In ceremony” at Seymour Fire Department Station 3 located at 605 Meadowbrook Dr in Seymour. This event is to celebrate the arrival and commissioning of our new Ladder 3 firetruck. It’s both a symbolic and community-centered ceremony rooted in firefighting history. The tradition actually dates back to the 1800s when fire departments used horse-drawn fire pumpers. After returning from an emergency, firefighters had to manually push the heavy wagons back into the firehouse because the horses couldn’t easily back them in. To honor this history, many modern fire departments continue the tradition by ceremonially pushing a new firetruck into the bay during its dedication.

We are excited to announce we will offer TRADITIONAL TRIVIA at an all-new location! Join us at FUN BLAST on July 15th for a fun evening! The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #108 will be serving up hot dogs, chips, and drinks at the Westside Park. The splash pad will be open and a bouncy house for the kids... sorry grown ups! Stop by for a free afternoon of fun.
