Monday, December 2
Build a Christmas Tree – Jubilee Flowers & Gifts will host a Build a Christmas Tree class at 6 p.m. December 2, at the store, 801 West Tipton Street, Seymour. Participants will be given fresh treated Christmas greens, a nice container, mini ornaments, mini pine cones and a ribbon. Click here to register.
Tuesday, December 3
Hometown Christmas – Brownstown Ewing Main Street and Jackson County REMC will host Hometown Christmas from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. December 3, at the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown. The evening will include Santa, music, treats, and reindeer.
Wednesday, December 4
Copper Top Christmas Open House – The Copper Top will host its Christmas Open House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. December 4, at the venue, 100 St. Louis Avenue in downtown Seymour. The evening will include complimentary holiday treats, Christmas decor inspiration, festive photo ops, and information about the venue.
Friday, December 6
Open House – Teulker’s Treasures will host its open house from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. December 6, at the home-based store, 258 East County Road 100N, Brownstown.
Christmas at Crossroads – The Jackson County Chamber’s annual Christmas at Crossroads is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. December 6, at Crossroads Park in downtown Seymour. The event will include Christmas carols, live reindeer, the Christmas tree lighting, and a visit from Santa Claus.
Live music at The American Legion – The American Legion will host live music at 8 p.m. December 6, at the legion, 402 West Second Street, Seymour.
Saturday, December 7
Medora Christmas Parade & Festival – The Medora Christmas Parade & Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 7, in Medora. The event will include the parade at 1 p.m., food, crafts, vendors, entertainment, and more.
Cookie Walk – The Immanuel Guild at Immanuel Lutheran Church will host its annual Cookie Walk at 9 a.m. December 7, in the church’s Fellowship Hall, 605 South Walnut Street, Seymour. It’s $20 per box with a variety of cookies to choose from.
Christmas Family Luau – Schneider Nursery will host Christmas Family Luau with various time slots beginning at 9 a.m. December 7, at the nursery, 3066 U.S. 50, Seymour. One family pass gets up to 6 people to participate in multiple activities including beach volleyball, ornament decorating, beach themed holiday centerpiece, pin the tail on the mermaid, tiki bar treats & sweets, and an appearance from Santa Claus. Holidays with the Horses – Reins to Recovery will host its annual Holidays with the Horses from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. December 7, at the facility, 10861 U.S. 31, Seymour. The event will feature Reins Deer, pictures with Santa, holiday arts and crafts, raffles, and more.
Christmas Tradition – The Seymour Museum Center will host its Christmas Tradition from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. December 7, at the museum, 220 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. The event will include pictures with Santa & an elf, story time, Christmas songs, cookies & hot chocolate, candy canes, Christmas trains, trees, and crafts.

Holiday Centerpiece Class – Schneider Nursery will host a holiday centerpiece class at 6 p.m. December 10, at the nursery, 3066 U.S. 50, Seymour. The class includes a mix of greens, container, pine cones, berries and a fresh amaryllis bloom to connect to the nursery’s “Christmas in Paradise” theme. Cookies & Cocoa with Santa – The Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department will host Cookies & Cocoa with Santa from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. December 12, at the department, 6843 North County Road 400E, Seymour. The event will include a visit with Santa, cookies & hot cocoa, a visit by The Grinch, and special treat making for reindeer.

Christmas on Chestnut – Seymour Main Street will host its second Christmas on Chestnut with activities for children from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. December 14, at various locations in downtown Seymour.
Dog Photos with Santa – Dog Training with Monica will host Dog Photos with Santa from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. December 14, at the facility, 357 Tanger Blvd, Suite 204, Seymour. It’s $10 to participate and $5 per additional dog in each photo.
Christmas in the Campground – Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will host its annual Christmas in the Campground December 14, at the Vallonia property. The theme is Old Fashioned Christmas and will include campers decorated for the holiday. The public may drive through the area to view a light show, decorated campers, and take part in other activities. There will be crafts in the Forest Education Center for $5 each craft. Santa will be available for pictures, and homemade ornaments will be for sale. A donation of $5 is suggested to enter the park. Info: 812-358-3581, ask for Sierra.
Night in Bethlehem – Trinity United Methodist Church will host a Night in Bethlehem at 4 p.m. December 14, at the church 333 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. The two-hour adventure explores the city of Bethlehem with booths, hands on experiences, and crafts. Information: 812-523-3072.
Seymour Christian Church Kids Christmas Festival – Seymour Christian Church will host its Kids Christmas Festival from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. December 14, at the church, 915 Kasting Road, Seymour. The event will include pictures with Santa, craft, letters to Santa, Story Time with Buddy the Elf, cookie decorating, wagon rides, and a free gift for the first 200 children. The event is free to attend.

Bourbon Tasting – Vick’s Liquor Store will host a Neely Family Distillery tasting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. December 18, at the store, 400 East Tipton Street, Seymour. There will be special bottles available for purchase and Master Distiller Royce Neely will be available to discuss the brand and sign bottles.

Parade of Lights – The city of Seymour’s annual Parade of Lights & Fireworks will being at 5 p.m. December 21, in downtown Seymour. The parade will wind downtown and the fireworks will follow.
