Easter Egg Hunts in Jackson County – 2024
Easter is a fun time of the year! Here’s a list of all the Easter Egg Hunts going on in 2023! If your church, business, or organization has an event not listed, please email Jordan Richart at jordan@jacksoncountyin.com to have it added.
Saturday, March 16
Brownstown First Baptist Church – 11 a.m., March 16, at the church, 1095 State Road 135, Brownstown. Babies through sixth grade are welcome to hunt eggs with prize baskets awarded in each age group. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday, March 17
Cerro Wire – 1:30 p.m. March 17, at the plant, 1002 Industrial Way, Crothersville. The hunt will begin at 2 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.
Saturday, March 23
Trinity United Methodist Church – 10 a.m., at the church, 333 South Chestnut Street, Seymour. Children up to age 12 welcome. Also the church will host Journey to the Cross from 4 to 6 p.m. March 24, which will feature multiple stations to learn about the season. For more information, call the church at 812-523-3072.
Saturday, March 30
Seymour Community Easter Egg Hunt – 9 a.m. March 30, photo time with Easter Bunny & Mighty Mini Donuts, 10 a.m. Egg Hunt starts, at Gaiser Park in Seymour. Organized by 92.7 WXKU, 99.2 WZZB, Seymour Parks and Recreation Department, Guardian Bikes, and Rose Acre Farms. There will be four age groups for children 0-12. Bring your own basket.
Hoosier Christian Village – 10 a.m., March 30, at the facility, 601 South Sugar Street, Brownstown.
Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County Easter Egg Hunt – 10 a.m., March 30, at Emerson Elementary School. Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County will host the Tom Judd Memorial Egg-stra Special Easter Egg Hunt for individuals with special needs. 10 a.m. for ages 0 to 12, and 10:30 a.m. for ages 13 and up. It’s open to individuals with special needs. There will be candy and prizes for all participants as well as some special guests.
First Baptist Church of Seymour – 10 a.m. March 30, at the church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour. Toddlers-5th grade. Refreshments, prizes, Easter Bunny photos.
Reddington Christian Church – 10 a.m., March 30, at the church, 10516 U.S. 31, Seymour.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Department – 11 a.m., March 30, at the department.
Freetown Community Church – 11 a.m., March 30, 6811 North Glendenning Street, Freetown.
Jackson Masonic Lodge 146 – Noon, March 30, at Jackson Masonic Lodge 146, 1818 N. Ewing St., Seymour. Hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks also will be served. There will be a bake sale, and a bicycle will be given as a prize for each age group.
Medora Masonic Lodge – Noon, March 30, at the lodge, 95 North Jackson Street, Medora. Arrive early to register for prizes. There will be drawings for bicycles, and there will be 100 eggs with a dollar coin in them. Fish sandwiches will be available for sale.
Freedom Fireworks Easter Egg Hunt – 2 p.m., March 30, on the lawn of the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown. Age groups for 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12. There will be 30,000 eggs filled with candy and toys. There will be a drawing for 23 bicycles. There also will be more than 240 prizes to giveaway and 60 Easter baskets. Arrive early to register. Photos with the Easter Bunny, and the first 200 children will receive a free gift. Lola’s Modern Kitchen will be on hand as well as Radio 96.3.
Central Christian Church – 3 to 5 p.m., March 30, Easeter Eggstravaganza, at the church, 1434 W. Second St., Seymour. There will be games, inflatables, an egg hunt, prizes and more. There also will be a bicycle giveaway, and you must be registered and present to win. Register online at centralseymour.org.
Sunday, March 31
Immanuel Lutheran Church – Between the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services at the church, 605 South Walnut Street, Seymour.
Freetown Church of Christ – Noon, March 31, 7077 North State Road 135, Freetown. The hunt is for infant through fifth grade.
