Home for the Holidays – The Country Neighbors Home for the Holidays Home Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 9-11, at various home-based businesses in Jackson and Lawrence counties. You can pick up a brochure at the Jackson County Visitor Center.
‘Footloose’ – Seymour High School Varity Chorale will present ‘Footloose’ the musical at 7 p.m. November 9, at Earl D. Prout Auditorium, 1350 East Second Street, Seymour. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by clicking here.
Friday, November 10
Senior Expo – The Tribune will host the Seymour Senior Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 10, at the Knights of Columbus, 118 East Second Street, Seymour. The event is free and open to the public and sponsored by Schneck Medical Center. The event will feature information, giveaways, health screenings, door prizes, and live demonstrations.
Open House – Jubilee Flowers & Gifts will host its Christmas Open House from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. November 10, at the store, 801 West Tipton Street, Seymour. Everything in the store will be 20% off, and there will be two door prizes for $50 gift cards.

Happy Veterans Day from the Jackson County Visitor Center
Frosty Fest Craft Show – Trinity United Methodist Church will host the third annual Frosty Fest from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 333 South Chestnut Street, Seymour.
Mistletoe Market – The Seymour Mom2Mom group will host the Mistletoe Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 11, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 North Ewing Street, Seymour. It’s free admission and includes 20-plus vendors. Serves as an annual fundraiser for Seymour Mom2Mom – a local group that strives to connect, challenge and care for moms in all seasons of motherhood in a God-honoring environment.
Museum Mile – The Inaugural Museum Mile will be at 9 a.m. November 11, at the Freeman Municipal Airport. The one-mile run will be the length of the historic Runway 523. Proceeds will benefit the Freeman Army Airfield Museum in Seymour. Click here to register.

Soup Fundraiser – The Crothersville Historical & Cultural Arts Association will host a soup fundraiser from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. November 11, at Hamacher Hall, 211 East Howard Street, Crothersville. There will be a variety of soups to choose from for a free will offering. Veterans may eat free.

The night will honor veterans and will include dinner, silent auction, and a live dessert auction. Sounds of Dreams will provide music. Soup Supper – St. Peters Lutheran Church will host a soup supper from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. November 12, at the church, 403 West Bridge Street, Brownstown. It’s a freewill donation for multiple soups, westerns, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and desserts. Dine in or carry out available.

Small Town Bingo – Phi Beta Psi will host its annual Small Town Bingo at 7 p.m. November 14, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour. It’s $25 to participate, and you must be 18 years old or older. There will be prizes from local businesses and Vera Bradley. There will be food and drinks available, and the doors open at 6 p.m. All proceeds go to cancer research.
Wednesday, November 15
Nature Explorer’s Club – The Nature Explorer’s Club will host its fall season class at 5 p.m. November 15, at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, Seymour. The group meets each week for 12 weeks with a different theme, story, snack, song, activity, hike, journal, and play. Click here to sign up.
Open Hose – Ewing Unique & Boutique will host an open house from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. November 15, at the store, 1050 West Spring Street, Brownstown. Festive hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available.
