Thursday, August 25
SICA Art Club – Join the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Art Club from 2 to 7 p.m. at the center, 2001 North Ewing Street, Seymour. Bring what you’ve been working on and enjoy the company of other artists.
Friday, August 26

Fish Fry Fundraiser – Youth at the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene will host a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 616 West Commerce Street, Brownstown. The event will raise money for a denominational youth conference in Tampa, Florida next year. It’s $12 for a meal, which includes three pieces of fish, baked beans, coleslaw, and mac & cheese.
Live music at Harmony Park – Bigg Vinny (The Biggest Loser) and Jared Blake (The Voice) will play at 6:30 p.m. at Harmony Park at the Brooklyn Pizza Company 753 West Second Street, Seymour. Acoustic Fusion will open. Tickets are $10.
Fish Fry – Hamacher Hall will host a fish fry from 6 to 8 p.m. at the historic building, 209 East Howard Street, Crothersville.
Live music at Rails – Doug Dillman will play at 7 p.m. at Rails Craft Brew and Eatery, 114 St. Louis Avenue, Seymour..
Comedy Night at Chateau de Pique Winery – The Herron Entertainment National Winery Comedy Tour will be making a stop at 7:30 p.m. at Chateau de Pique Winery and Brewery, 6361 North County Road 760E, Seymour. The show will feature more than a dozen stand up comedians. Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 the day of the show, click here to order tickets.
Live music at the Eagles – Rich Hampton will play at 7:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 122 East Second Street, Seymour.
Live music at Poplar Street – Brad Treadway will play at 8 p.m. at Poplar Street Restaurant
Live music at On the Rox – Steve Deweese will perform at 8 p.m. on the patio at On the Rox, 214 South Broadway Street, Seymour.
Saturday, August 27
Seymour Area Farmers Market – The Seymour Area Farmers Market will operate from 8 a.m. to noon in the Walnut Street Parking Lot in Seymour.
Parkapalooza 5K – Join the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department at 8 a.m. at Shields Park for the Parkapalooza 5K to support programming and sports for youth. Click here to register.
Dog Days Dog Show – The Humane Society of Jackson County will host the annual Dog Days Dog Show beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Keach Parking Lot (corner of Walnut and Fourth streets) in downtown Seymour. It’s $3 to enter and there will be prizes for multiple categories.
Freeman Army Airfield Museum – The Freeman Army Airfield Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1035 A Avenue, Seymour. Be sure to check out this wonderful place that is open each Saturday!
Anchor House Charity Ride – Help Anchor House through the annual Charity Ride at 1 p.m. at Heritage Park in Brownstown. In addition to the ride, the event will include a celebration with a beer garden, live music, auction, food and more. Log onto anchorhouseshelter.org for more information.
Live music at Chateau de Pique – MellenCougar – A John Mellencamp Tribute Band will play at 5 p.m. at Chateau de Pique Winery & Brewery. There will be a food truck on site and wine, beer, and cider from Chateau de Pique. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by clicking here.

Arc-A-Mania – Arc of Jackson County and Supreme Wrestling for a live pro wrestling event fundraiser. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. at Brownstown Central High School and the doors open at 6:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 28
Benefit Ride – The Seymour Moose Lodge 418 Poker Run will begin at noon. Registration is at 10 a.m. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, t shirts, food, and music by the Half Hicks at 4 p.m. it’s $15 per person or $25 for a couple with the proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
