This weekend features plenty of opportunities to have some fun the entire family will enjoy. This weekend features live music, a German festival, craft beer festival, a musical, basketball game and more!

Thursday, May 13
“Practically Perfect in Every Way” – Seymour High School will present “Mary Poppins” this week with shows scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as a 2 p.m. Matinee on Sunday. There are a limited number of tickets available and they can be purchased for $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

Spring German Festival – The Seymour Knights of Columbus Council 1252 will host Frühlingsfest 2021 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15, in the B and O Parking Lot behind the Knights of Columbus. This event will feature food, vendors, live music, a bier garten and all kinds of fun. Check out everything you need to know by clicking here.

Shooting hoops – Maybe you haven’t checked out the Southern Indiana Timberjacks yet, but you have a chance to head down to Medora Friday night for the team’s game again Pendleton. The Timberjacks are part of the Hoosier Hardwood Basketball Association, so check it out!

A Toast to the Weekend – Seymour Main Street will host the third annual Soak Up the Suds Brewfest from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Community Park. Click here to order tickets.

The race is on – Check out the Brownstown Speedway for this week’s race at 6 p.m. Saturday. To get your hands on some tickets, call 603-501-0517 or you can get them at the track.
Live music at Harmony Park – Benito Dibartoli (Eddie Money’s guitarist) will perform at Harmony Park at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. Tickets are $15 at the gate.
Live music at Jackson Live – If you haven’t checked out Jackson Live yet, you’re missing out on some great country music! Sunday, May 16
Art show – Go support Trinity Lutheran High School art club members with the art show, Art Club FurnARTure Auction and variety show from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the school. The auction begins at 1 p.m. and the variety show begins at 3 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the art club.
Drive In – The Seymour Area Cruisers will host its Spring Cruise In from 2 to 5 p.m. at Sonic in Seymour. Catch up and check out all the neat rides! *If it rains, the event will be on May 23.

Mid-Week events next week
Farmers market (Wednesday) – The Seymour Area Farmers Market is open for its market lite hours from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at the farmers market parking lot on Walnut Street.
Honor cyclists with a ride (Wednesday) – The Ride of Silence will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church (333 South Chestnut St.). Accident survivors will be given recognition and a moment of silence will be offered for bicyclists who have died. The ride will last about an hour at a slow pace around Seymour.
