The leaves are beginning to change and Jackson County is home to several excellent places to view Fall foliage and beautiful countryside views.
The Jackson County Visitor Center put together this tour to share our county’s beauty and to give everyone a great and enjoyable Fall activity.
Our friends at the Jackson County Purdue Extension say that the usual optimal or peak time for Fall colors in Jackson County is mid-to-late October.
You can wait until the most optimal time or go now!

It’s pretty simple, just click on the brochure links to download a small route of the area to print or save, and click on the map link for a Google Map of the loop.
Once you’ve downloaded them, get in and drive and take it all in! There are no particular stops along the way, so just enjoy the view!
Loop 1
This loop features the knobs of Medora, Skyline Drive, Medora Covered Bridge, Medora Brick Plant, and parts of the Jackson-Washington State Forest.

This loop features relaxing countryside, scenes of harvest, Chestnut Ridge, and very scenic country views.
