Pewter Hall – Local Restaurant History
There’s no doubt that some of your best memories include a celebration at Pewter Hall in Brownstown.
There have been countless wedding receptions, fundraisers, annual dinners and other gatherings throughout the years.
But did you know that Pewter Hall also serves up lunch?
If you’ve been there before – and we trust that you have – you know everything they prepare is delicious. When they aren’t hosting events or catering off site, owners Curtis and Darla Kaiser offer the community plate lunch specials.
They post the menus each week when they’re available. Customers have come to love their Beef Manhattan, homemade Meatloaf and Taco Salad.
For catering, everyone loves their slow Roast Angus Beef, Chicken Elegante, Honey-Glazed Ham and Baked Pork Tenderloin.
The business opened in 2001, but the Kaisers purchased on April 1, 2013, offering full service events with a bar stocked with beer, wine and liquor for gatherings of 600 (800 if they put a tent up outside).
“We love our small town business and being a part of this community and county,” Curtis said. “Working with groups, businesses, and couple to plan their special events is what makes our jobs enjoyable.”
Their approach to running their business is the same as it always has been, Curtis said.
“Our goal is to provide a clean, high-quality venue along with great food and exemplary service,” he said.
